Our History and Milestones
Established in 1976, N.J. McCutchen started as a provider of ornamental iron work for residential fencing and gates. By 1997, the company had moved to a facility spanning more than 50,000 square feet.
Throughout the 1970s to the 2000s, N.J. McCutchen saw major growth that expanded services into more complex metal fabrication. Our reputation for quality carried us through the decades, earning us loyal customers like Kellogg’s, GP Gypsum, PG&E, TGO, and others who have stuck with us for 20 to 40+ years.
Leadership and Values
One significant reason N.J. McCutchen has thrived over the years has been the company’s top-tier leadership. Vice President and engineer Alan McCutchen handles some of our most technical projects, while General Manager Anthony Bossana manages sales and operations, with both of these experts dedicating their careers to providing exceptional leadership and service to our customers.

Facility and Capabilities Overview
Backing our capabilities is our 50,000 sq. ft. facility, which features a range of equipment, including:
- CNC laser cutter
- Water jet cutter
- Plate rollers
- 1000-ton press brake
Using our in-house equipment, we have worked with many large projects, including waffle wheels requiring heavy-duty solutions. We also work with various materials, including aluminum, brass, and exotic materials, upon request.
With in-house operations, you benefit from shorter lead times, improved quality control, and in-house coating for a more convenient one-stop solution.
Commitment to Safety and Quality
We also work with a comprehensive NJM safety program that requires all employees to undergo thorough training and recertification.
This program covers:
- First aid and fire safety
- Confined space
- Fall protection
- Heat illness and prevention
In addition to our safety program, we implement a strict quality control process that entails X-ray testing, pressure testing on vessels, and weld testing.
Certifications and Compliance
To maintain regulatory compliance with all of our projects, we have certifications and memberships with top industry organizations.
For example, we hold R-stamp, U-stamp, and other ASME codes. Meanwhile, we have an ISNetworld membership that provides third-party auditing of our program to ensure consistent safety for our clients in the oil, gas, and energy industries.
